DiMella Shaffer Announces New President, Diana Linsenmayer

DiMella Shaffer is thrilled to announce the appointment of Diana Linsenmayer as the firm’s new president. Linsenmayer, who has been with DiMella Shaffer since 2005 and became a principal in 2021, succeeds Randy Kreie, who has served as president since 2011. Kreie will continue to contribute to the firm in his ongoing role as principal.

Linsenmayer is recognized for her collaborative leadership style and her commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive workplace. Reflecting on her new role, she remarked, “I am excited to take on this role and build on the foundation our team has established. It’s an exciting time—we are poised with strong leadership, exceptional design talent, and a team acutely aware of our role as stewards of the environment.”

During Kreie’s tenure, the firm strategically expanded into five key market sectors and developed a strong cohort of future leaders, including Linsenmayer and fellow principals David Godfroy, Philippe Saad, and Frank Valdes. All were elevated to their roles in 2021, joining principals Kreie and Ed Hodges.

“Diana is a consensus builder and a skilled problem solver. She is recognized for empowering others and has worked diligently to create infrastructure that supports the firm’s strategic goals and drives initiatives forward,” said Kreie.

Diana leads the planning and design of many of the firm’s most complex academic projects. She’s currently working on projects with Berklee College of Music, Boston University, Harvard, Tufts, and UMass Amherst. She is also a member of the Boston Society of Architects Women’s Principals Group.

“Alongside David, Frank, Philippe, Randy and Ed, I look forward to building on the firm’s successes in providing innovative solutions to complex challenges, and continuing to evolve towards a diverse, equitable, and inclusive practice and profession.” said Linsenmayer, “I am proud of our past, and believe the best is yet to come.  While I am the first woman to hold the presidency at DiMella Shaffer, I am confident I won’t be the last.”
