Doug Rand

Fascinated by both drawing and carpentry, Doug translates his skills into listening closely and collaborating and focusing on great design with attention to all the details. He’s excited by the positive impact architecture can have on personal, social, and environmental factors. When he’s not focused on the Higher Education market, he leads the Sustainability Group within the office, educating the team at DiMella Shaffer on how to have a more environmentally conscious project. With a Masters in Architecture from New Jersey Institute of Technology, Doug loves meeting new people, and the environments and cultures that come with every new project. On the weekends you can catch him outdoors biking, following soccer incessantly, or in the kitchen making the world’s best pancakes!
