Riverway House
view project
Constructed in the 1950s, the Cronkhite Graduate Center was re-programmed and renovated to accommodate 120 beds located on the second and third floors, including a third floor apartment. The bedrooms were reorganized to eliminate suites and replacing them with single occupancy rooms, creating more space for common areas such as kitchens, lounges, and bathrooms. The kitchen, servery, dining hall and graduate studies program spaces are located on the ground floor. Light wells were expanded to provide more natural light to lounge and fitness spaces in the basement level. The outdoor patio was enhanced, expanding the student gathering spaces under the mature courtyard trees.
